Videojet Collaborates with International Paper to Introduce Reveel™ to the Pack Expo Audience
Las Vegas, NV – Sept 23, 2015 — Videojet Technologies and International Paper today announced a collaboration to promote Reveel™, a new on-demand, “on box” laser imaging technology. Videojet, a global leader in coding, marking and variable data printing solutions, will showcase the International Paper solution in their booth at Pack Expo 2015, September 28-30, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Designed to give manufacturers an alternative to traditional labels and ink based case coding, as well as minimizing changeovers, Reveel is a water-based coating that enables laser imaging directly on corrugate and paperboard. As boxes and cartons with the pre-applied white or translucent Reveel patch travel on a packaging line, an in-line Videojet CO2 laser marks high resolution bar codes, text and logos in the patch area.
“This advancement in laser imaging technology is a tremendous benefit for our customers. They can take advantage of clean, simple and cost-effective Reveel and our high speed lasers to easily produce superior mark quality on corrugate cases. Our collaboration with International Paper gives us yet another way to help our customers improve their packaging efficiencies,” said Peter Lindstrom, North American Product Manager for Videojet.
At Pack Expo, Videojet will showcase Reveel with the Videojet 3330 laser marking system. This high performance CO2 laser delivers a powerful combination of performance and flexibility for high resolution marking on cases running at moderate to high speeds. With virtually no font, code or graphic restrictions, the Videojet 3330 is an ideal solution to meet demands for complex codes.
Lindstrom added, “Reveel is a practical innovation that will re-define the case coding process. It’s a real alternative to adhesive-based labels and other variable data printing techniques. We are excited to help our customers realize the benefits of laser marking with Reveel.”
